Taxonomies, Media, Menus & Widgets

Understand translation behavior for terms, media metadata, menus, and supported widgets.

Taxonomies

Create a translated category, tag, or supported public taxonomy term with a translated name you provide. A translated slug is not machine-generated by a provider; URLs remain an explicit editorial choice.

Media metadata

The attachment file is shared. mcLogiora stores language-specific title, alternative text, caption, and description metadata without duplicating the binary file. Translate one field at a time and keep the other metadata unchanged.

Create a translated navigation menu that preserves the source menu’s item order and nesting. If a translated menu is not available, the untranslated menu still appears so navigation does not disappear.

Widgets

Text, Custom HTML, and Block widgets can be translated. Unsupported widget types are listed as unsupported and are never modified by a translation action.

These surfaces are explicit workflows, not a promise that arbitrary plugin-owned data structures can be translated automatically.
