Media Library

Read the Vacuum column, per-image actions, status badges, savings, and restore availability.

Vacuum adds Media Library list-view visibility so editors can understand image status without opening the plugin dashboard.

Vacuum column

The column can show:

  • Current optimization status.
  • WebP and AVIF availability.
  • Original, WebP, and AVIF sizes.
  • Savings percentage.
  • Skipped or failed reason.
  • Backup availability.

Row actions

Depending on attachment status and capabilities, row actions may include:

  • Optimize.
  • WebP.
  • AVIF.
  • Restore.

Each action uses admin capability checks and nonces. Unsupported source files show a reason instead of a risky action.

Generated derivatives

When derivative attachments are registered, the original attachment stores a link to the generated WebP or AVIF attachment. The generated attachment records its source attachment and generated format.
