Upgrade Guide

Upgrade safely to version 1.0.1 while preserving settings, queue data, backups, and metadata.

Version 1.0.1 is compatible with existing 0.9.0 data.

Before upgrading

  1. Confirm you have a site backup.
  2. Pause any active bulk queue.
  3. Keep plugin backups enabled.
  4. Update through WordPress.org or upload the 1.0.1 ZIP.
  5. Open System Status after activation.

Data compatibility

Existing vacimg_settings values are normalized with new defaults when missing. Existing backup, queue, stats, and derivative metadata keys remain compatible. No database schema change is required for 1.0.1.

After upgrading

  • Review the Setup Wizard if it appears or relaunch it from settings.
  • Confirm Safe Mode and backup settings.
  • Test one JPG, one PNG, and one WebP before a full bulk run.
  • Review Media Library counters and Reports.
