Setup Wizard

Configure first-run defaults, Safe Mode, backups, WebP, AVIF, and upload automation.

The Setup Wizard is an optional first-run flow for choosing safe defaults before processing media.

Wizard behavior

  • Appears after activation when setup status is pending.
  • Can be completed to save selected settings.
  • Can be skipped without blocking the plugin.
  • Can be relaunched from settings when you want to review defaults again.

What it configures

The wizard focuses on high-impact choices:

  • Compression profile.
  • Safe Mode.
  • Backups.
  • WebP generation.
  • Optional AVIF generation.
  • Upload automation behavior.
  • Frontend delivery readiness.

For first-run production use, keep Safe Mode and backups enabled. Enable AVIF only when System Status confirms AVIF read and write support. Start upload automation in queue mode if you expect large files or busy editorial workflows.
