Quick Start

Run a safe first optimization pass with backups, System Status, and the bulk queue.

This quick start keeps the first optimization run conservative and reversible.

First run checklist

  1. Open Media -> Vacuum Image Optimizer.
  2. Review the Dashboard for feature status and recent activity.
  3. Open System Status and confirm uploads and backups are writable.
  4. Complete the Setup Wizard, or skip it if you prefer manual settings.
  5. Open Compression and keep the Balanced profile.
  6. Keep Safe Mode and backups enabled.
  7. Open Bulk Optimize and scan the library.
  8. Start the queue and let the first batch complete.
  9. Review skipped, failed, and optimized counters.
  10. Open Reports to confirm storage savings.

Validate the result

Check a few attachments in Media Library list view. The Vacuum column should show status, generated formats, savings, and available actions. If something looks wrong, use Backup & Restore before changing settings aggressively.
